In January, we begin to hear rumblings about something called the coronavirus. Sixty days later, many states are under an executive order to quarantine in our homes. This can be a time of extreme anxiety, a feeling of completely being overwhelmed and more.
While the world has been turned completely upside down, this can also be a time of self-revelation, soul searching, spending time with family and focusing on our dreams, visions and thoughts. This time can be one of the most productive times we’ve all had in a very long time, if we’d like for it to be.
Today, let's look at the importance of taking advantage of this time and turning what could be a completely devastating situation into a time of productivity. We can come out of this pandemic with life-changing opportunities having occurred. So, today we’re talking about staying focused on the things you’ve always wanted to work on--things you talk about and dream about all the time.
As many of you know I’m a vision strategist. I assist individuals and entrepreneurs in organizing their thoughts and ideas and developing the strategy needed to catapult visions from thoughts and dreams to reality! The key to seeing your vision become a reality is to work the strategy created; this will call for you to stay focused.
Staying focused allows us to be productive, but let’s face it, right now it can be a little difficult.
Some major distractions right now are fear, finances and the health of ourselves and loved ones.
I’m praying against all fear and that any fear will turn into faith. I also pray for healing for you and/or your family members that may be ill. I KNOW God is a healer. I also pray for peace and comfort to anyone reading this that has lost someone to COVID-19.
As mentioned, finances can be a major distraction. With so many not being able to work right now due to COVID-19, now is the perfect time to create your strategy for that additional stream of income.
What ideas have you been consistently thinking about? Service industry providers, what vision do you have on the “other side” of actually providing services to your clients?
It’s said “vision gets you to the race but focus gets you across the finish line!”
Here’s a few tips to help you stay focused:
Set SMART (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, time bound) goals. Be crystal clear with goals and break them into small pieces to reduce feeling overwhelmed.
Be honest about resources and time. Taking on things that you don’t have the resources for right now will be a huge distraction because you’ll always be thinking about how you’re not equipped to reach the goal.
Create an organized work area. It might be an area in your bedroom, a dedicated office space or the kitchen/dining room table. Whever it is, make sure it's conducive to be productive.
Surround yourself with like-minded people. You’ll find a synergy that keeps you focused and moving forward when your “tribe” is all moving in the same direction!
Today's unsettling and difficult times have shown me how our earning potential can change so quickly and without warning. As a firm believer in multiple streams of income, I want to use this time as a season of preparation, time of production and focus. Let's do it together.
Very inspirational and encouraging thank you🙂
